So Vibrance takes the most saturated pixels and increases their
saturation even more and leaves the least saturated pixels alone?

Hi,
I'm surprised that no-one has responded to my question about Vibrance in
darktable.
The manual states, "Vibrance saturates and brings down the lightness of
the most saturated pixels to make the colors more vivid."
I would have thought that whereas Saturation increases the saturation of
Hi,
According to the darktable manual, "Vibrance saturates and brings down
the lightness of the most saturated pixels to make the colors more vivid."
Should it not saturate and bring down the lightness of the least
saturated pixels?
Paul.
Thanks, Daniel.

Hi,
I’ve been using darktable for a while now since downloading version 2.2.5 from
darktable.org.
Having seen that there have been updates recently, I downloaded the latest
version for mac os x and find that it’s version 2.2.4.6.
That appears to be an older version than the one I already
Personally, I don’t sharpen in dt at all. I export unsharpened to a tiff and
then pre-sharpen using Nik Sharpener inside GIMP and then output sharpen using
Nik after resizing.
Works for me!

Don’t know, Bob. I’m using a Mac that’s so old it won’t upgrade to Sierra!

This shouldn’t be complicated, Bob. I have a Mac and I just downloaded the .dmg
file and installed it in the usual way.

I’m using darktable 2.2.5 on a Mac.
If I set the display profile as ‘system display profile’, does DT use xatom or
colord (or neither) to find the correct profile of my monitor?
Is the ‘correct profile’ the one that I specify in ColorSync?
The reason I ask is that I was playing with the BRG

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, Patrick.
What do you mean by: “provided your paths are correctly set”?
Does that mean I have to change directories to somewhere? Where?
Cheers,

Hi,
I use darktable on a Mac and I’d be interested to know how to call binaries. In
particular, I’d like to use darktable-cmstest.
I’m comfortable using Terminal but just not sure how to do this.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks, Tobias. I do know how to find the hidden folders but didn’t realise I
needed to create the new one.
Fingers crossed…

Hi,
Would some kind expert please tell me which folder I should use to store a
camera input profile that I’ve just created with scanin and colprof.
I’m using a Mac (El Capitan).
Many thanks,

Hi,
I have, what is in all likelihood, a really dumb question!
In Darkroom view, I know how to zoom in and out using the scroll wheel.
What I just can’t work out is how to move the image around once I’ve zoomed in.
Am I missing something really obvious?
My operating system is Mac OS X
Thanks, Tobias.

Hi,
I’ve read some articles about darktable-chart and would like to try it out.
How do I access it, though? I can’t find it anywhere!
I have darktable 2.2.5 and I run it on OS X 10.11.6.
Cheers,
Paul

Hi,
Sorry for the questions. I’m new to DT and just getting to grips with it!
Re the USM parameters, are they comparable with, say, Lightroom?
I assume that Radius is the same.
Is an Amount of 0.5 the same as 50 in LR?
Hi,
I can’t seem to activate the Demosaic module. With every other module I can
turn it on and off by clicking on the on/off switch icon. But not Demosaic.
Any
thoughts?

Not sure if this is the right way to ask a question, but here goes!
How do I create two masks for the same image and adjust them independently?
(For example, let’s say there’s an area where I want to increase the exposure
and a different area where I want to decrease the exposure.)
