You may want to provide details of the setup - DT version, os version.
With these settings it works well for me. I intentionally activated only
the very basic (orientation, sharpen and base curve) then I put the
watermark and started tweaking the crop. It always followed the crop.

Hopefully, I've simply missed something in the UI; I wound up having
to run darktable twice (once
