Running darktable-chart from a terminal I was able to solve the problem. darktable-chart complained that in the original cie file was presente the string 'SAMPLE_LOC' instead of the required 'SAMPLE_ID'. Therefore I changed 'SAMPLE_LOC' into 'SAMPLE_ID' in ColorCheckerPassport.cie and voilĂ
