Dear Remco, dear Bernhard: I did not know about the possibility to update the lensfun-data set. While he got some replies, there was no follow-up on his part, so we don't know if the problem was solved at that time... Then it makes sense to use multiple cores. OP did have openGL working, in which case using multiple cores doesn't really make sense. And handling multiple images in parallel is never faster than handling the same number in sequence.
