Hi, all I got bit by the GPL taint thing, so I'm here to warn others. The TLDR is that NVIDIA's drivers don't work well with the latest kernel (5.9) and OpenCL just plain disappears, so avoid it until they have it sorted out. Here's a writeup on the issue from phoronix for anyone interested in

[darktable-user] EXIF data with DNG files

2020-10-30 Thread David Vincent-Jones
My most recent toy is a Huawei phone that exports both JPG as well as DNG files from a RAW shot. The JPG files opened in dt show the full EXIF data set but the DNG files omit all of the critical data. When I export the files (to a JPG) the data is correctly shown on the export file. Is this

Have you tried checking available information with exiftool or any other similar tool? Is it really available in DNG? Timur. On Fri, 2020-10-30 at 10:00 -0700, David Vincent-Jones wrote: > My most recent toy is a Huawei phone that exports both JPG as well as > DNG files from a RAW shot. The JPG

David, you are correct. Just tried it with DNGs produced by Open Camera app (Android). It works as you described. In my case both aperture and exposure were missing in metadata info panel. Exported files are fine. Time to file new bug report. Best wishes, Timur. On Fri, 2020-10-30 at 12:18

When I export the DNG from dt to a JPG file the EXIF data is included ... but the important information such as speed/aperture/etc is not displayed in dt 'image information'. I think somehow dt simply has missed out on displaying this data. David On 2020-10-30 10:37 a.m., Timur Irikovich
