I have installed from the ports. It seems that i don't have the latest
version, ran in a bug, fixed that, was able to start the pop3 imap lmtp
daemons.

I have never tried to build dbmail from FBSD ports, but
DbMail runs very well on FBSD
Suggest you make deinstall then download and install 2.0.3
and read INSTALL and INSTALL.(your_MTA_choice)
Perhaps you have already.
Have you checked your dbmail.conf in /etc
lmtpd should be at

Here's a few FBSD pointers and some general helpers.
DbMail version 2.0.3 will build like a charm on 4.8/9/10/11
or 5.x
Current CVS has some getopt issues but a workaround is
available. Suggest you build 2.0.3 as changes in CVS
