April, What does your entire dbmail.conf IMAP section look like? Can you send it? The 300 is in seconds, and if I understand the code correctly. The IMAP process should die IF it's idle, AND it's over 5 minutes idle AND you have more than MAXSPARECHILDREN processes already. Though looking at
