hmm. no. You can use parted to do this. Imho it's supported on all
architectures.
The lvmcfg script depends on find-partitions to get a list of partition
where is possibile to build a volume group. find-partition as changed is
output in a (recent ?) update and now it doesn't report the type of
partitions but the filesystem type. For that reason lvmcfg is completely
inusable.

In the last release of debian installer the language choser is also the
keyborad layout choser. I don't know how the association language -
keybord is done but i don't like this way to configure things.

Now debain installer try to use dhcp to configure nethwork devices
without asking to user. This is annoing because it takes a while if
there isn't a dhcp server and it rteturns an error.
I think that is better to ask to user if he want to go with dhcp or want
to configure network using static
