the 2.4.23 kernel images are still in new. I will have a look as soon as
these packages will be available.
I have also written a wishlist bug against the lvm2 to package to provide
an udeb for the debian-installer.

maintainance, it would be easier to create, provide and support only one
initrd for all sub-archs.
For i386, there
amigaos toolchain to build it.
why we need tree different initrd's here? Whats the different (expect of
the targeted architecture)? Are there any different binaries included?

Please let use keep the build process in the current state and try to
fix or extend the current scripts.
