I managed to get the package to build in unstable using the free jikes
compiler and free libraries by applying this patch. It is a quick
hack, and the rules file sure need more cleanup, but I thought it best
to submit it here as a start.

attached are updates for xc/config/cf/gnu.cf. I redid it from scratch
based on linux.cf, as modifying it gave me too much grieve.
I attached both the whole file and a diff against SVN, dunno which suits
you better.

The last buildd failed on m68k ending on:

Here's the log output of sylpheed plus the shell output.
Other mails with attachments seem to work fine, this one only has a 17kb gif
attached. Mail reads fine with old sylpheed-claws.
