The problem is that strlen() process data 4 bytes by 4 bytes, so it can
read up to 3 bytes more if the first byte is 0. That's why valgrind

Could you please upload a version with this bug fixed?
It's annoying to have to use a private patched version on affected machines,
and Squeeze's freeze is afoot so it would stick for an entire stable
release.
The Ins key is something that's used quite often, and it's a trivial fix.

I have a Dell workstation that has some issues with the 2nd (DVI)
monitor when coming back from the screensaver. The first (VGA) monitor

I also have the same problem. I see unaligned pointer 0x4c12b6ea when
booting. After restarting 2 times I was able to boot grub properly and get
into Debian.
