sk the alpha porters about the status of them
fixing the kernel issue.
As of lately alpha has been added to the "fucked archs" list (see bottom
of debian/rules) which means util-linux runs the testsuite but ignores
any failures to make the package build (without any guarantees of
working at all).

y solution here is to argue that we don't want time-bombs and
just disable the test-suite. The better solution involves generating
the certificates so that they align with what 32bit machines can handle,
uuencoding the result and setting up debian/rules handling to "manually
patch"
the NormalizeURLString
function is incorrectly designed and there's no way to fix it (so should
be deprecated in favour of NormalizeURL).
Thus intentionally *not* tagging patch, as this is rather a "proof of
concept".

Then dpkg doesn't need to do anything (and dpkg-query will be all happy
again). If you think modifying packages individually for this is to
be avoided, then someone has already mentioned the idea of doing
a dh_usrmerge that would relocate a packages files before the binary
package is compressed.

FWIW I've analyzed all packages that are tagged on the reproducible
build page. Messing with the debian bts is just too time consuming as
if looking at this wasn't boring enough to begin with. If anyone thinks
there are some interesting data points to be found please ask.

Please see attached debdiff.

to configure, rather than relying on finding them via PATH.
See attached debdiff that fixes this issue.

I've uploaded the attached debdiff to DELAYED/14 (fixing the
two other open bug reports also).
Please feel free to upload sooner.

happen with find, if built on a system
where find is installed - but it's not a build-dependency so
clean chroot builds will use the default 'find' value.)
This problem is simply fixed by passing GTAR=tar GFIND=find to
configure in debian/rules.
