Hi,
setting wontfix for this tag. mutt is providing a mime.types and
the mime.types for .tar.gz files is also distributed by mime-support.
What we can do is having a debian package which is working correctly
with its dependencies, we cannot fix a problem of a missing

I've seen similar problems with gnome-terminal + screen and mutt.
As Thomas says, it depends on the terminal and, above all, most
parts of this are delegated to libncurses.
I don't know what to do with this bug, probably Christoph can help.

I'm able to reproduce only the part of the bug that says that if you suspend
with the second-last message selected and then resume, the message at the end of
the page will be the message you selected.
I can't see the annoying flash, in that case it seems to me more a

we need more information for this bug, if there is a crash we
need a core file (be careful, it could contain your pop password)
and, for sure, your muttrc.
Without corefile we cannot know what is going on, it does not seem
a known problem.

package to mentors (pam-dotfile) so this won't be difficult.
Only a minor bug is filled against this package and it will
be fixed by the next release.
