Please find out your *real* problem.
I don't know if others wireless cards have same problem. but for
debian etch i386, dhcp doesn't works for that usb wireless ( ethx
cards works ) if dbus init script ( /etc/rcx.d/S20dbus ) is not

I have one zyxel wireless usb 802.11b (kernel module zd1201) but dhcp
doesn't work at boot time (open wifi lan). After booting dhcp worked.
Then I changed init script networking from /etc/rcS.d to /etc/rc2.d
and the init at boot goes fine, I
