regarding bug #493781, /etc/ldap/slapd.conf is not a conffile (it is
created by the postinst maintainer script of the slapd package), thus the
policy doesn't prevent other packages to modify it directly.

The bug might still hold true (segfault on etch) but I am not able to
verify it, as I moved on to lenny.
I tried to reproduce it but could not find a build of 0.7.3-1 for
powerpc and building myself (same as I did before) now results in a
compile error, Brulebois said there is a missing -l
the impression that upstream things so, too: there are no patches
available and no new upstream release fixing these problems.
In any case, I'll try to ask on IRC.
