Is fireworkx the only OpenGL saver that provokes this bug?

Yeah, well, the "standard X calls" are insufficient for xscreensaver
to work properly.
You can support it explicitly, or you can continue to have things not
work right.
Intentional behavior, not a bug. When xscreensaver is in use,
"xscreensaver-demo" is the UI for setting blanking behavior, not
"xset". There is no way to make both UIs co-exist sensibly, so
xscreensaver wins.

It would be quite useful for the postfix package to detect whether you have

very serious issues. If it were not for debian testing,
there would be no excuse to defend use of debian in a live environment,

these obvious sorts of problems. I've emailed you about the "uri" problem
twice in the last two months. What gives?

Severity: important
I believe this to be the same issue as the previously resoved bug
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=385147 . Basically, I
didn't hold my packages properly and as I had mysql-server installed, it
upgraded my installed versio
or
all those xml files to be gzipped. Or making sure that unused
localizations don't get installed.
