a program (namely update-rc.d) which is included in the package itself. The only possiblilty to solve this chicken- egg problem is to use --force options. best regards -- Raphael Wegmann

Package: sysv-rc Version: 2.86.ds1-1 Severity: important well. normally this package will get installed by some debian installation routine, but since i manually migrated my system from knoppix back to a normal debian sarge, I had to install sysv-rc manually. First I removed the knoppix sysvinit
