I ran into the same issue with -W than with -T, namely that handling
of track numbers is broken for numbers >= 8, because of "0" prefix.
Glancing over the code for -n, I think I indeed misunderstood the role

I got a new kind of crash yesterday, in version -7. I was testing
without Option EXAOptimizeMigration off (now I’m no longer sure
whether Option EXANoComposite true was active or not, I think it
was not). Anyway, X got stuck in an infinite loop, it seems, detected
quite some time after it

The latest incarnation, version 2.11.8-6, did resolve it, it seems. I
tried quite a few video playing that were sure to crash X, without
problem.
