reating objects same way as stdio_filebuf in my examples i gave in bug
description.
and in c++ code where i used pubseekoff() now i call nivarov_fix_gccbug() and
everything works perfect! Hope it helps you to fix the bug. If you need more

when i downgraded mc to version from stable:
4.6.0-4.6.1-pre3-3sarge1.
I tried this on i386 and amd64 which installed from cdimages of etch made by
July,11 (libc6: 2.3.6-15, kernel: 2.6.15) - same effect.
We need our encodings. It's critical...
