I've checked out 1.2.1 source tarball, and noticed that
latex source to documentation in doc/ dir is replaced with
ps/html/dvi/pdf/info documentation.
This qualifies the documentation as non-free in Debian terms;
and I will be forced to split the package into non-free
documentation
I can of course release the source of the documentation.
I was just not aware of the problem. I let you know when it is done.
