No, not really the discontig-bg feature must surely be present in kernel
code (was introduced in 2.6.35), but you need newer ocfs2-tools to

I have been using a lot OCFS2 and it really has serious problems, the
way it is in squeeze.
OCFS2 has a problem of fragmentation that makes the filesystem appear
full even if it isn't.
