I tried few combination of options for the i915 module and enabling powersave seems to improve resuming from hibernate. Try modifying conf file: /etc/modprobe.d/i915-kms.conf From: options i915 modeset=1 To: options i915 modeset=1 powersave=1 It might be just a side-effect of the module doing
