Bug#770631: statsmodels: Build-Depends on nodejs not satisfiable on some architectures

2015-05-13 Thread Yaroslav Halchenko
Thank you Edmund. If you are a DD feel welcome to upload an NMU with such a workaround for now. Otherwise I will look into it next week (traveling/busy atm) to simply not build docs at all whenever only binary-arch build ahs thus removing those from straight build depends altogether. Cheers On

The upstream documentation is a bit unclear, but I read somewhere that statsmodels' documentation can be built with pandoc. On amd64 I was able to build statsmodels after uninstalling nodejs and installing pandoc instead. A package called pandoc sounds like a more obvious choice for building

Bug#770631: statsmodels: Build-Depends on nodejs not satisfiable on some architectures

Source: statsmodels Version: 0.6.0~rc2-1 Severity: serious Justification: fails to build from source statsmodels now build-depends on nodejs, but nodejs is not available on some architectures where statsmodels built before. This affects at least mipsel, powerpc, and s390x. Cheers -- Sebastian
