Hello
I think it's best to not to ship the package right now until it's
updated to current and supported version.
Honestly, I don't expect I will be able to find reasonable amount of
time to bring it into better shape (that's why I've opened the RFH more
than year ago).

since 1.5 years and has 5 RC bugs at this point. The 4.6.x
