The machine used a 64-bit kernel (linux-image-2.6.26-1-amd64) while the
userland was 32-bit. When I use a 32-bit kernel, network-manager works
as expected.
But I need 32-bit userland because of some software, and I need 64-bit

I converted a partition from NTFS to EXT3.
So first i backuped the partition on a USB-HD with NTFS-partition.
Then i formatted the local partition with EXT3 and copied the files back.
