Dear Maintainer,
we did not have much luck with the patch provided, however we do
experience the same issue.
This upstream commit from an unmerged PR helped though:

We're also affected by this bug. It is still present in 3.0.11-1. The upgrade
of this package breaks with every new version, rendering it unusable. Since
