It looks like an autoreconf is all that's necessary. The attached
patch modifies mount/Makefile.in (the result of the autoreconf)
to fix the build for now.

In light of Russ's message in March 2009 and the fact that no one has
challenged his decision nor submitted any patches, I am marking this as
wontfix for now.
If someone thinks this check is a good idea, please let us know and have
some very good arguments for it.

work, s/he may loose their complete text that they've just typed.
For example, I just tried to report a bug for another package. After
having written my bug report, I chose

in the sources.list exists after the completion of the installation in
sources.list. While reloading the synaptic package manager, it shows the
error: Failed to load cdrom...
A patch for

which most probably is fixed in Ubuntu's version.
