As a graphics driver for X, I am using radeon (from testing). As I
reported earlier, the problem disappeared when I moved to fglrx (after
the move to a .35 kernel didn't help). Recently I upgraded the kernel
to .36, and moved back to radeon, and the problem didn't appear again.
With inclusion of libqtcore4 as one of the dependencies this problem
should have been solved, please try 0.6.x and report back if you're
still having this problem.

Lately when I try accessing videos on my SMB share I get following error:

However I found a workaround for this problem, which is following:

plays files from SMB just fine.
What I found out is that, this problem doesn't exist on shares that
are not password protected. These files will play just fine.

Installing ia32-libs-gtk held the /usr/lib32/{libgthread,} dependencies I
needed to run googleearth.
ia32-libs-gtk is already listed as dependency when installing
googleearth-package

How is that a workaround? That's a normal mode of operation with smbclient.
In past I didn't even had to run smbclient -L, I would go to network:/// and that's it, my device would be listed there, now that's not the case.
