I'm also seeing this message in the main server log every time someone

Turns out I had NameVirtualHost *:80 in the apache config, and changing
that to NameVirtualHost * fixed the problem
Do you have 'c' bound to something? Try moving your ~/.purple/accels
file out of the way and restarting pidgin.

It's probably safe to assume it's the IRC helper, but you should disable
