Bug#851052: abiword: Work area flickers up to 30 thimes on every Charachter input

2017-02-02 Thread Awtul
Package: abiword
Version: 3.0.2-2
Followup-For: Bug #851052

Hi,

This bug is reproducible in real hardware (Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3110M CPU @
2.40GHz) as well
as in two virtualbox installations, both Debian unstable.

I think that the severity "should" be changed to "serious/grave" because with
such flickering
Abiword is unusable.

Regards,

Awtul

Bug#852046: fvwm: GUI menu config tool doesn't pop-up having several "menus" installed.

2017-01-20 Thread Awtul
Package: fvwm
Version: 1:2.6.7-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

The GUI menu config tool doesn't pop-up when having several "menus" installed.
Right now I have 'enlightenment.menu', 'razor-config.menu',
'lxde-applications.menu', 'xfce-applications.menu', 'debian-menu.menu',
'razor-applications.menu', 'lxlauncher-applications.menu' and
'gnome-applications.menu' installed.
Removing one of them (lxlauncher-applications.menu) solves the problem.
I get this error in .xsession-errors "[fvwm] [module_receive]: <>"
Module (0x55a8a10061f0) command is too big (1156), limit is 1000".
Seems like that's an issue related to FvwmForums module hitting a size limit.

Regards,

Awtul

It's really annoying having to click in the pop-up window on each new log in.
That's why I have set the bug severity to 'important'.

Bug#844165: virtualbox: Virtualbox & guests windows moving "alone" when mouse pointer moves.

2017-01-14 Thread Awtul

Hi,

The bug is now partially solved with Tint2 version 0.12.12-2 updated today
thanks to upstream patch,

but the bug still reproducible combining openbox (3.6.1-4), tint2 (0.12.12-1)
and virtualbox (5.1.12-dfsg-2)

using default configs for all of them except "autohide" feature enabled for
tint2 (not enabled by default -

tint2rc ---> Panel ---> autohide=1 for enable it). So I attached default
tint2rc (autohide enabled) and default

openbox rc.xml.

Pretty sure you will be able to reproduce using the following Debian version of:

-openbox: 3.6.1-4

-tint2: 0.12.12-1

-virtualbox: 5.1.12-dfsg-2

as other people have done according to
https://gitlab.com/o9000/tint2/issues/619 and
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=849228

As I said, the bug is only present under openbox if autohide feature is enabled
for tint2 and only virtualbox is affected. Not reproducible under

fluxbox, fvwm and xfce using xfce4-panel and fbpanel or tint2 with autohide
feature disabled.

According to tint2 upstream, the bug "is in either openbox or virtualbox".

Please, let me know if you need more info.

Regards,

Awtul

2017-01-03 Thread Awtul
Package: mpv
Version: 0.23.0-1
Followup-For: Bug #850102

Dear Maintainers,

I just tried to play several video and audio files stored in my machine and

So, the problem isn't only present when playing youtube videos but also when
playing local audio/video files.

Bug#849836: zekr: Missing dependency on libwebkitgtk-1.0-0

2016-12-31 Thread Awtul
Package: zekr
Version: 1.1.0+repack-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainers,

Zekr crashes after displaying the logo with the following message:

"org.eclipse.swt.SWTError: No more handles [Unknown Mozilla path

at org.eclipse.swt.SWT.error(SWT.java:4387)

Installing "libwebkitgtk-1.0-0" solves the problem. I thought it may be a
dependency missing issue.

Bug#850647: afterstep: Afterstep broken, almost unusable.

2017-01-08 Thread Awtul
Package: afterstep
Version: 2.2.12-8+b1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Dear Maintainer,

Launching 'Afterstep' via Lightdm/Gdm3, I get this message " Xsession: unable
to launch "gnome-session --session=AfterStep"
X session ---"gnome-session --session=AfterStep" not found; failling back to
default session" "; so unable to log in Afterstep;
I get redirected to my default X session. "startx /usr/bin/afterstep", via
ttyX, works; Afterstep is launched.
After using "startx", "Wdm" is the only DM able to launch Afterstep, but I get
an empty desktop, no widgets, nothing,
just the default wallpaper; root menu works.
Note that "Afterstep" only launches fine the first time I use "startx";
relaunching it again with "startx" I get an empty desktop, as via "Wdm".

Well, I'm trying "Afterstep" in a VM (virtualbox), not on real hardware, but I
don't think it matters.

Bug#817802: chromium: Scrolling over tabs doesn't work as expected.

2017-01-14 Thread Awtul
Package: chromium
Version: 55.0.2883.75-3
Followup-For: Bug #817802

Dear Maintainer,

Please consider reopening this bug since it still present in chromium 55x.
Mouse scroll over tabs for switch between tabs doesn't work as expected. I
have to scroll twice up/down
if the mouse pointer leaves chromium window instead of once for switch between
tabs. It worked fine in earlier versions,
before 55x and after 49x.

Scroll over tabs for switch between tabs is a nice feature provided by
chromium. I know it's a trivial issue but
it would be nice to have it working just fine, as expected, under Stretch.

Regards,

Awtul

Bug#885318: systemd kills X or freezes it when logging out from last opened tty

2017-12-29 Thread Awtul
Package: systemd
Version: 236-1
Followup-For: Bug #885318

- my user shell is bash (echo $SHELL > /bin/bash)

-

.bash_logout:

if [ "$SHLVL" = 1 ]; then
[ -x /usr/bin/clear_console ] && /usr/bin/clear_console -q
fi

--

Changingif [ "$SHLVL" = 1 ] in .bash_logout to if [ "$SHLVL" = 2 ]

solves my problem; now X doesn't crash and I can switch between my openbox
session (on tty1)
and other tty's (logged in or not) just fine.

Bug#885318: systemd kills X or freezes it when logging out from last opened tty

2017-12-28 Thread Awtul
Package: systemd
Followup-For: Bug #885318

Hi,

I may have reported this bug against the wrong package (systemd); I apologize
if that is the case (?).
I wonder if this bug should be merged with #858073 & #791342.
I tried to reproduce with fvwm and jwm but I wasn't able to do so; the issue I
describe is only reproducible
with fluxbox and openbox (in my system). #791342 provides a few interesting
links which doesn't absolve systemd :)

I am not sure what to do to be able to help...

Cheers,
Awtul

Bug#888069: guake: Scroll back settings not considered.

2018-01-22 Thread Awtul

Dear Maintainer,

After recent guake updates 'scrollback' settings are not "working". No matters
what I set in scrollback section

outputs are not shown completely

Bug#895331: guake: moving tabs and copying urls without selecting not possible anymore

2018-04-09 Thread Awtul

Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I noticed that since the port of 'guake' to gtk3, moving tabs from left to
right/right to left
and copying web urls is not supported/working.

Is that a regression in term of features or a conscious change?

Cheers,

Bug#913277: "FATAL_ERROR: No valid sound driver! FATAL_ERROR: Server exited!"

2018-11-09 Thread Awtul
Package: moc

Followup-For: Bug #913277

I don't run moc remotly. I just access my X, my regular openbox user session,
via wdm then I run mocp.
All other apps works just fine. I am using cmus now.
My user is member of all groups, sound included.

2018-11-09 Thread Awtul
Package: moc
Version: 1:2.6.0~svn-r2984-1
Followup-For: Bug #913277

I just realized that 'mocp' crashes with the message pasted at the beginning of
this report
when there is another application playing sound.
Example: I run a youtube video on firefox. I start 'mocp' and it crashes.
If I close the youtube video on firefox, 'mocp' starts fine.

I wonder why this issue started to happen just recently, and why now 'mocp'
displays 'PCM' next
to the volume level in the volume bar (example: 50 PCM). I think it doesn't do
that days ago.
According to dpkg.log, 'alsa-utils', 'libasound2', 'libasound2-data' and
'libasound2-plugins'
have been upgraded a few days ago.
Not sure if there is a correlation between those upgrades and 'moc'...

"padsp mocp" and 'mocp' works fine, no crash (even if not able to
decrease/increase volume using mocp keybinding).
Now I see volume level (0%) + master in volume bar (master 00).

I am out of ideas. Not sure what more info I can give :)

Dear Maintainer,

Until yesterday 'moc' worked just fine. But now when I start it I get:

Disabling 'pulseaudio' donot help.

Since a few days, before having the referred issue, I noticed that 'mocp' shows
"PCM" next to volume percentage in the volume bar;
it doesn't do that previously, it always only showed volume percentage.

'libasound2-plugins'
have been upgraded a few days ago.

Cache file deleted (.moc/cache) but I still get same error as pasted in first
message.
Moc config file just have the following line: Theme =
/usr/share/moc/themes/black_theme
I don't have a custom config; I use defaults.

---

I have a sid vm almost fresh. I just installed 'mocp' and it starts just fine.

But I started 'chromium' and played a youtube video and 'mocp' doesn't start; I
get same error.

So, 'mocp' crashes with the error message I pasted in the first message if I
try to run it while
any other application is playing audio/video.

Same problem so in the host and in the vm, both sid and both up to date.

No, sound is below 100 (chcked that via
alsamixer/pasystray/pavucontrol/pulsemixer).

I know that mocp won't start when volume is above 100; I get a different error
message when that happens.

Now the case is different; the error is as pasted at the beginning of this bug
report.

Bug#913277: "FATAL_ERROR: No valid sound driver! FATAL_ERROR: Server exited!"

2018-12-07 Thread Awtul
Package: moc
Version: 1:2.6.0~svn-r2984-1
Followup-For: Bug #913277

Ok, good! Linking the two files ("ln -s /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf.d/pulse.conf
/etc/alsa/conf.d")

'mocp' works normally now, there are no errors ("mocp -D" and no errors in
'mocp_client_log' / 'mocp_server_log').

So, what happens exactly? What is the exact problem here? Which package is
"buggy"?

Cheers,
Awtul

In fact, what are we doing exactly when linking
'/usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf.d/pulse.conf' file
and '/etc/alsa/conf.d' directory?

I created asound.conf in /etc and inserted:

defaults.pcm.card 0
defaults.ctl.card 0

but that do not help, even after a system reboot; I still get same error
mentionned at the beginning of this bug report when I execute 'mocp'.

I have no troubles with 'qmmp' if pulseaudio module is activated in qmmp
settings instead of the alsa one.

I also suspect alsa stuff but not sure what exactly.
All audio/video programs I tried works fine, except 'moc'; and 'moc' is my
favorite! :(

I don't get it if I run apt-get.

It started to happen after today upgrades.

It seems like the distortion of apt progress bar only happens when guake is in
full screen mode.

Well, it seems like the 'apt' progress bar and the 'needrestart' advise being
dostorted is a bug
of 'apt' not of 'guake' because I had the same problems on 'tilda'.

2021-07-21 Thread Awtul
Package: guake
Version: 3.6.3-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

'apt' progress bar is distorted on Guake.

How to reproduce:

Run apt. When the progress bar starts progressing press F12 to hide Guake.
Press F12 again to unhide Guake and you get the 'apt' progress bar distorted.

I tried other terminal emulators and I haven't experienced that problem.

Thanks for your job,
Awtul
