For hurd (and maybe linux), the big question remains, _if_ updating
the hwclock should be done by hwclock.sh by default.
I don't know the answer to this design question for hurd, or for
linux-with-sysvinit systems.

Given this I'd imagine nobody has ever used the hwclock initscripts
on hurd before, and maybe they shouldn't exist there? I'd hope hurd
wouldn't rely on userspace to do direct hardware access to set the
time.

Please consider applying this patch at your earliest convenience. This
bug will be upgraded to release critical soon, as it blocks the overall
usr-merge effort which is being undertaken for the trixie release.
Many thanks,

Thanks for filing this! The problem affects me, too.
Found this report and fixed printers.conf manually by deleting the line

I'll go an do some rebuilds now and see how they go. If any breakage
occurs it will be obvious at build time
in the GNOME
GitLab instance which fix this issue.
Would you mind uploading a fixed version to unstable soon, please?
I'll upgrade the bug to RC when I upload ppp-2.5.0 to unstable.
