salome_study.generateName() and batchmode_salome.generateName()
functions use the whrandom module, which was been removed in Python 2.5.

I attach an ugly, untested work-around for this bug.

Apparently there is a Python module which support LZMA compression:

There is also python-lzma, which has been already packaged for Debian.
