If there is a short write in save2tmp stop trying and return with a error

In the main program examine the return
or scroll bar to check.
If you set the option Display current line number to YES (-o
display_lineinfo=1)
then the statusbar contains currentline/number of lines (percentage of file).

I suspect a configuration problem on your side, perhaps enabling
the option System charset follows locale(LC_CTYPE)
(-o follow_locale=1) might help.

introduces a option show_cookie which disables the
display of cookie related messages if set to NO. Additionally it makes
it possible to accept bad cookies without asking. Thus no delay because

PS: The documentation
trying and return with a error
code.
In the main program examine the return code of child processes on SIGCHLD.
If an error occured say so in the Download List Panel.

chinese symbols seem to display ok
The output of the chinese symbols on one terminal-emulator does not
depend on whether i look on the source or the dump. So i conclude that
w3m does not change the symbols and it is a problem with the
terminal-emulator.

TODO the width of the additional link prefix (the number) is not considered
