Ouch. I've ITP'ed python-configargparse, and will follow up on the
python-tornado front.
In the meantime, the version in testing is the best fallback option.

this issue was marked no-dsa
and changed it to point to
/usr/share/fontconfig/conf.avail/70-no-bitmaps.conf
instead. After restarting, Firefox then started using proper fonts.
Same issue here on a wheezy-jessie upgrade.
