It would be nice if you could consider changing the name of libhdf5-serial-*
packages. Most of the time, users are going to use this package and the
fact that it is serial does not provide any advantages. Only confusion.

Just a quick answer. I updated the packaging and uploaded this package
into Debian because some friends are using this package.
If you believe that the package should be removed from Debian, please
launch the procedure, I won't argue neither fix the security issues in
