2020-11-23 Thread Tomas Safarik
Package: softether-vpnclient
Version: 5.01.9674+git20200806+8181039+dfsg2-1
Followup-For: Bug #973403

Hello

I still have problem with hamcore.se2 even that the changelog says it should be
fixed. The message is different than in previous version.

-8<--
$ sudo vpnclient start
-- Alert: SoftEther VPN Kernel --
Fatal Error: The file "hamcore.se2" is missing or broken.
Please check hamcore.se2.

(First, reboot the computer. If this problem occurs again, please reinstall VPN
software files.)
-8<--

Using softether-vpnclient_5.01.9672~201911241612~ubuntu20.04.1_amd64.deb works
ok for me.

I will be happy to test anything or give more details if needed.

Thanks

Tomas

Bug#868236: vlc-plugin-base: Contains out-dated plugin VLSub which has up-to date dedicated package vlc-plugin-vlsub

2017-07-13 Thread Tomas Safarik
Package: src:vlc
Version: 2.2.6-2+b3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

this package installs out-dated version of VLSub plugin under:

/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/vlc/lua/extensions/VLSub.luac

This plugin has its own dedicated package vlc-plugin-vlsub which has
more up-to date version.

Maybe the file should be removed from this package and the package
vlc-plugin-vlsub be made as Recommended or Depend to vlc-plugin-base.

Regards,

Tomas

I noticed that 01-java8-compatibility.patch seems wrong to me. And not only me,

Code used in RedHat patch seems more correct to me.

Bug#407795: Error during activation of the XKB configuration - only USA keymap available.

2009-08-30 Thread Tomas Safarik
Package: gnome-applets
Version: 2.26.3-1
Severity: normal

Hello,

I encoutered this error. I was able to locate the problem and find solution.

Problem: When I run the keyboard applet from command line I get following
error when trying to add more keyboard layouts.

--
$ /usr/lib/gnome-applets/gnome-keyboard-applet

** (gnome-keyboard-properties:2552): WARNING **: Failed to load

Solution: Apparently problem is that iso-codes files are missing. These files
are part of package iso-codes. So after installing I can add more layouts
without problem. Altough I get some gtk-warnings:

I suggest putting dependency DEPENDS on iso-codes package for gnome-applets if
not for libklavier.
I can image you want to use libklavier but you don't need iso-codes, but for
gnome-applets it is
necessary to have it because keyboard applet is not fully functional without it.

I hope this helps. I am happy to provide more info if needed.

Regards,

Tomas

Bug#544264: devicekit-power: AC unplug and replug is not detected

2009-08-30 Thread Tomas Safarik
Package: devicekit-power
Version: 009-1
Severity: important

Hello,

I have noticed, that devicekit-power does not detect that I am unplugging or
pluging again AC power cable in my notebook (iBook G4). I expect this is
why new version of gnome-power-manager is not working for me correctly.

According to some description on internet I would expect seeing:
$ devkit-power --monitor
Monitoring activity from the power daemon. Press Ctrl+C to cancel.
#Unplgging power cable here
device changed: /org/freedesktop/DeviceKit/Power/devices/line_power_ACAD
device changed: /org/freedesktop/DeviceKit/Power/devices/battery_BAT1
daemon changed:
#Plugging power cable back in
device changed: /org/freedesktop/DeviceKit/Power/devices/line_power_ACAD
daemon changed:
device changed: /org/freedesktop/DeviceKit/Power/devices/battery_BAT1

But when I do this on my notebook I get nothing:
$ devkit-power --monitor
Monitoring activity from the power daemon. Press Ctrl+C to cancel.
^C
(I unplugged AC and replugged during this command running.)

HAL is able to detect that.

I am happy to provide more information if needed.

Thank you,

Tomas

Bug#512183: nautilus-cd-burner: progress not shown during write

2009-01-18 Thread Tomas Safarik
Package: nautilus-cd-burner
Version: 2.24.0-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

when I use nautilus-cd-burn everything work fine except it does not show
progress
during write.

This is what happens in 'Writing files to CD' dialog:
- empty progressbar with 'Preparing to write CD' text
- empty progressbar with 'Finishing write' text
- suddenly full progressbar
- full progressbar with 'Complete' text

I'm convinced that sometime in the past it worked that it was showing percents
written on the CD.

I'll be happy to provide more information if needed.

Bug#511464: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics: After some time strange behavior with appletouch touchpad

2009-01-11 Thread Tomas Safarik
Package: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
Version: 0.15.0+git20080820-1
Severity: normal

Hello,

I have iBook G4 (A1133) and after some time the touchpad begins to behave very
strangely.
Cursor moves to some direction without touching the touchpad or it cannot be
moved at all and moving
is interpreted as scrolling. When I use #synclient touchpadoff=1 to disable the
touchpad it works ok.
If I reinsert the appletouch kernel driver (kernel/drivers/input/mouse) and
enable it again it begins
to work normally, but movement is very very slow and cannot be configured.

I used very complex (but fine working) configuration for synaptics touchpad and
when problems started
I changed it to following but problems are the same.

Section InputDevice
Identifier Synaptics Touchpad
Driver synaptics
Option SHMConfig on
EndSection

I'm unable to track some event that triggers the wrong behavior and also I
don't know if the problem
is in the synaptics driver of the kernel module. But as I don't know better
place to report it
I write it here.

I'll be happy to provide more information if needed.

Thank you

Tomas

Bug#509020: bugzilla3: Running checksetup.pl does not add new skin

2008-12-17 Thread Tomas Safarik
Package: bugzilla3
Version: 3.0.4.1-2+lenny1
Severity: normal

Hello,

I installed bugzilla3 and I do have problem with adding more skins. I copy the
skins
(which work on other not packaged installation) in the
/usr/share/bugzilla3/web/skin/contrib
directory and run /usr/share/bugzilla3/lib/checksetup.pl script as written in
documentation
chapter 6.1 . But no new skins are available in preferences as I would expect.
And after
that happens also that ownership of /etc/bugzilla3/params is changed to
root:root and is
unreadable to bugzilla.

I'll be happy to provide more information if needed.

Thank you

Tomas

2008-10-07 Thread Tomas Safarik
Package: icedove
Version: 2.0.0.16-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

I found out that when I turn on new message alert
(Edit-Preferences-General-Show an alert) than whole application freezes
(after restart). When I turn it off everything works fine (I have to do it
offline othervise the application freezes).

It may be connected to some IMAP or large mailbox issue as my mailbox is
accessed via IMAP and has over 3000 emails.

I'll be happy to provide any necessary information to find out where the
problem is.

Thank you

Bug#460547: iceowl: Still present in 0.8-2

2008-05-14 Thread Tomas Safarik
Package: iceowl
Version: 0.8-2

Unfortunatelly the bug is still present and the package is still
unusable. (I'm using Sunbird 0.7 package from Ubuntu).

For sure I removed ~/.mozilla/iceowl/ and ~/.mozilla/sunbird/ but had no
effect.

Is some detailed log needed?

Thank you

Bug#460547: iceowl: still have the bug on powerpc

2008-01-16 Thread Tomas Safarik
Package: iceowl
Version: 0.7-2
Followup-For: Bug #460547

I never used iceowl before so I had nothing to restart (I noticed
message after package installation). Anyway I restarted whole computer
now - it didn't help.

I still get empty dialog with two empty buttons - none of them does
nothing.

I get no error when I run iceowl from console.

And on my x86 machine iceowl_0.7-2 works fine.

Thanks

Bug#431906: berusky: no data in levels

2007-07-05 Thread Tomas Safarik
Package: berusky
Version: 1.1-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

When I start game there are no data in levels - no walls, no barrels,
only the bug you can move, but you cannot play it.

I had the same problem when I compiled the game from sources provided on
the internet. So I asssume it is connected with my architecture -
powerpc. Maybe the bug might be to the berusky-data package, but I don't
know how to find that out.
