On my system,
yes -- '-nan' | head -116903 | sort -g /dev/null completes in under a
second.
while
yes -- '-nan' | head -116904 | sort -g /dev/null appears to hang.

This makes anything that directly uses System.IdentityModel.dll unable to find
it.
I ran into this when trying to compile olive.
in directory /usr/lib/mono/2.0 the following command appears to fix it:
