Bug#914129: not iptables related, it's docker that needs updating

as this is due to docker generating an erroneous iptables command line for the
new iptables that came in during the last update cycle.
The problem is solved by running update-alternatives and selecting
iptables-legacy as the default iptables binary.
I think this bug can be transferred to upstream docker as this is something
they need to fix on their side.

Hope this helps,
saludos

Bug#818590: irssi-plugin-otr: mismatching ABI version with current irssi

2016-03-20 Thread Andrea Lusuardi
Package: irssi-plugin-otr
Version: 1.0.0-1+b2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,
as of latest update the otr plugin is unloadable (/load otr fail in relation
with https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=817172 )
but even if the plugin is manually loaded via

/load /usr/lib/irssi/modules/libotr.so

you get the error

Irssi: otr/otr is ABI version 0 but Irssi is version 1, cannot load

rendering the plugin completely useless.
Let me know how/if i can help,
thanks

Bug#789121: segfaults in libc6 when accessing ssl keys and signatures

2015-06-17 Thread Andrea Lusuardi
Package: claws-mail
Version: 3.11.1-3
Severity: grave

Hi,
since latest update claws-mail on my debian sid starts up correctly and i can
access emails
and even send one, until i try to fetch unread emails from any ssl/tls
protected source, it
then immediately segfaults. I am attaching some of the final strace output
hoping this helps.
Thanks and let me know how i can help with the debugging, i have some
experience with gdb and related.

Note how some of those frames are from libgnutls 26 and some are from

will upgrade and try to fix, anything else i can try in the meantime?

2014-05-20 Thread Andrea Lusuardi
Package: liferea
Version: 1.10.8-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,
the package liferea crashes predictably after 3 to 10 seconds from launch, in
the dmesg
i can see the problem as follows:

[46072.157858] pool[8262]: segfault at 10 ip 7f80fc8fa224 sp
7f80ecb8e540 error 4 in libpthread-2.18.so[7f80fc8f+18000]

i tried removing the config ($HOME/.liferea*) but the problem persists as soon
as i add the first feed.
This makes the package mostly unusable. If there are other information you need
or ways i can assist in triaging
the bug please let me know,
thanks

Bug#553428: Same bug

2013-05-27 Thread Andrea Lusuardi
Hi all,
i was about to report the same bug. On my machine (how can i get system
information as the one pasted in the submitter's mail?) i get a very
similar behaviour but i found that the culprit seems to be the pinentry
executable hogging 100% cpu (of one core). When that process is killed
i get a message error saying that the pgp passphrase i entered is
not valid, but claws-mail recovers. Deselecting sign from the
Option menu solves the problem and i can send correctly.

Any other info i can provide? tia

Bug#633560: bitlbee-plugin-skype: cannot install the plugin over bitlbee-libpurple

2011-07-11 Thread Andrea Lusuardi
Package: bitlbee-plugin-skype
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

At the current state of packaging there appears to be no way of installing and
using bitlbee-plugin-skype if the main bitlbee program comes from the
bitlbee-libpurple
package. Bitlbee from bitlbee-libpurple does not support the skype protocol
when adding an account.
Is this a wanted and expected situation, ie skype plugin and libpurple are
mutually exclusive, or is it a packaging problem? (plugin-otr can be used on
both regular bitlbee
and bitlbee-libpurple)
All has been tested on the lastest debian sid.

2011-01-30 Thread Andrea Lusuardi
sorry for the long delay, but for some reason the email did not reach
me - i think because i used up all the disk quota in my university
account - and i noticed this today while digging the todo list.

I think perhaps one important information regarding the bug is being
 ignored. So binaries from
 http://www.haskell.org/ghc/download_ghc_6_12_3 work fine, ghci and
 all? Which are you using?
   ghc-6.12.3-i386-unknown-linux-n.tar.bz2

 or

i downloaded from
http://www.haskell.org/ghc/dist/6.12.3/ghc-6.12.3-src.tar.bz2
and am now trying to build and install.

upstream's source package could give us an idea of what's up. What
 you guys think?

here is a report:

Hi,
i am beginning to work with haskell and i needed a compiler, so i just

Loading package integer ... linking ... done.
Loading package base ... linking ... done.

causes a segmentation fault...
I tried writing a short haskell program and it works if i use ghc directly.
I also noticed that the one that segfaults seems to be ghc itself:

flatline kernel: ghc[7063] segfault at 0 ip 08b9c87b sp bfb7c23c error 4 in

2009-04-11 Thread Andrea Lusuardi - uovobw
Package: usbip
Version: 0.1.7-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

I compiled the usbip modules in the current vanilla linux kernel, under the
staging drivers tree, and loaded it.
i then installed the debian package for usbip but, when launching both the
daemon and the client i get an error being not able to open a socket and not
finding the usb.ids file.
By looking at the sources i found that it needed a usb.ids file shipped in the
svn repository and added it in /usr/share/hwdata (a directory i had to create)
and then the package worked.

Bug#416043: amarok: Crashes when setting up Ipod plugin

2007-03-24 Thread Andrea Lusuardi
Package: amarok
Version: 1.4.4-4
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Every time i try to configure a latest generation Apple Ipod - even thoug the
device is correctly
detected and handled as an ipod located in /dev/ipod - as soon as i press
Apply after selecting Apple ipod device from the list of
possible plugins to use, amarok uses the cpu at 100% for about 10-15 seconds
then crashes and
disappears.

Bug#391054: Gives: gtkpod: *** glibc detected *** free(): invalid next size (fast): 0x08432200 ***

2006-10-04 Thread Andrea Lusuardi
Package: gtkpod
Version: 0.99.4-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

the latest version of gtkpod always aborts with an error on the command line:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ gtkpod
*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid next size (normal): 0x08432580 ***
Abortito
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$

and repeats the same in the syslog.
Downgrading gtkpod solves the issue, so i think it is 0.99.4-specific
