Bug#1039968: python3-tvdb-api: Incompatible with requests-cache version in repositories

Dear Maintainer,

This bug renders the package tvnamer completely useless. It always fails with
this error when trying to connect remotely to TVDB:

This is due to changes in the API to requests-cache. It seems upstream isn't
updating the code anymore but I've created a PR anyway:
https://github.com/dbr/tvdb_api/pull/105

I've tried these changes in Debian Boookworm and they fix this issue and others
related to changes in requests-cache.

I hope someone can patch these changes into the Debian sources.

Thanks.
Cheers.

Bug#956573: pulseaudio: Pulseaudio crashes when playing stepmania/performous

2020-04-13 Thread Bernat Arlandis
Package: pulseaudio
Version: 12.2-4+deb10u1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer.

These games played fine before updating the kernel. Version 4.19.0-6 works
well, but 4.19.0-8 crashes pulseaudio.

I've tried the kernel in backports (5.4) and it crashes pulseaudio too.

Regards.

It's not hanging anymore. I'm sorry I didn't think about this myself. I
hope someone having this problem can try it since this could certainly
help. I've tried reproducing with a few steps but it didn't happen again.

I don't know exactly what I did. I don't use this computer very much and
there were some time lapses between the actions that led to this situation.
I didn't have a clear idea of the actions to take to upgrade to the legacy
driver, and I like to fiddle with packages plus the upgrades in testing, so
it's very possible that I broke something but I didn't ever force the
package manager to do anything.

By looking at the logs it seems I installed the legacy packages while the
current driver was installed, then tried to remove the current driver by
purging nvidia-driver and nvidia-driver-bin, after that some package
upgrading and installing.

Regards.

Bug#819190:

2016-04-03 Thread Bernat Arlandis
I was having this problem and I think it's solved now.

I was using the current nvidia driver until my graphics card became
obsolete, then I installed the legacy driver and uninstalled the current
driver. It was left in a broken state after that.

I tried to dist-upgrade or remove the nvidia packages but it failed telling
me to run "dpkg --configure -a". When I tried to do that the command would
hang so I was stuck.. Examining the running processes in another console I
could see it was the /usr/lib/nvidia/check-for-mismatching-nvidia-module
script that hang.

I edited said script putting an exit command at the start of the script so
I could resume dpkg execution, then I purged all nvidia packages and
installed the legacy package succesfully this time.

Questions:
 - what is your Nvidia card (lspci verbose output please)?

(This is after succesfully removing the nvidia packages, thus the nouveau
driver.)

 - are you on stable, testing or unstable?

Testing.

 - if I understand correctly you have an amd64 installation. Did you add
i368 via dpkg --add-architecture?

Yes. Had nvidia i386 packages installed.

 - did you ever have non-legacy-340xx packages installed?

Yes. I had them until they become incompatible with my card.

 - are you installing from a tty or is yours a laptop with an optimus
system?

It's a desktop system and tried from a gnome terminal and a remote ssh
session.

I hope this helps someone.

Thanks for you support.

Best regards.

2015-04-28 Thread Bernat Arlandis
Package: gnome-online-accounts
Version: 3.14.2-1
Followup-For: Bug #673589

Dear Maintainer,

After upgrading to Jessie I've started seeing this problem. I couldn't
use my Google account and trying to authenticate would always result in
expired credentials.

I've tried deleting the account and creating it again, using the Google
unlock capcha page and also deleting the corresponding keyring entry.

Nothing's worked here.

Bug#783609: fontsconfig-config: Bitmap fonts enabled after upgrade to Jessie, broken link in /etc/fonts/conf.d

2015-04-28 Thread Bernat Arlandis
Package: fontsconfig-config
Version: fontconfig-config

Dear Maintainer,

I just upgraded to Jessie and I started to see bitmap fonts in Iceweasel
when Helvetica font was being used.

I've found it's because of a broken link in
/etc/font/conf.d/70-no-bitmaps.conf -
/etc/fonts/conf.avail/70-no-bitmaps.conf

Changing the link to the following fixes it:

Bug#662628: Similar problem

2012-03-06 Thread Bernat Arlandis
I've used vlc 2.0 today in testing for the first time and I had a
similar problem,
it wouldn't play audio files and freeze. I didn't try with video
files. I erased the
config directory in ~/.config/vlc and it runs fine again.

Severity: normal

It seems like this bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/197762

The first 250MB get transfered very fast with a 20MB/s rate, I guess because of
the cache, then it almost stops and the rate starts decreasing to under 1MB/s.
Tested with Nautilus. No error messages, this is the only log:

Bug#567873: gstreamer0.10-plugins-good: Autoaudiosink seems to fail when Pulseaudio is suspended and Jack is running

2010-01-31 Thread Bernat Arlandis i Mañó
Package: gstreamer0.10-plugins-good
Version: 0.10.17-1
Severity: normal

Sometimes I start the Jack audio server and Pulseaudio seems to be left in a
suspended state since the process is still there. When using gmusicbrowser with
the gstreamer backend and audio autodetection it doesn't playback anything, but
if I select the Jack output it works. gmusicbrowser author has confirmed
autoaudiosink is used for autodetection and he suggested to look this problem
into gstreamer.

Regards.

Bug#549433: Please explain

2009-11-01 Thread Bernat Arlandis i Mañó

Hi Robert.

I don't understand the problem. Having no new releases in a while
shouldn't be enough to avoid this package. There's others packages in
Debian with few upstream releases or none, even with low responsiveness
and that doesn't hurt as long as there's no severe bugs in them which
need upstream help. In case bugs appear we can try to fix them by
ourselves.

I use this app everyday and I see no reason to prevent it reaching
testing and thus a greater audience. Can you better explain your
reasons? How can we help?

Best regards.

This bug is important, it breaks lamp applications having to resort to

I'm having this problem on testing and downgrading Apache2 didn't solve

Hi,

First of all, if you're using 0.5.1 I suggest you make a backup of your
note directory (~/.gnote).

I would need some way to reproduce this problem. Try the following:

  - Rename your ~/.gnote.
  - Run gnote, it will create a new ~/.gnote.
  - Copy one of the offending notes (*.note files) to the new ~/.gnote
BEFORE it got corrupted.
  - Verify its current state. If the note has now been corrupted,
send me a copy of the old note (prior to corruption).

Btw, which version of gnote are you using?

I'm using version 0.5.1 and the previous version still in my apt cache
is 0.4.0. I don't have any backups, but I've tried downgrading to 0.4.0,
I've edited a new note and then upgrading again to 0.5.1 is working fine
with this note.

I had a note that hadn't been modified since june 8th, I've opened it
with 0.5.1 and it got corrupted immediately. I'm sending you this note
to your email before it got corrupted.

I hope this helps.

Bug#528605: Similar problem here

2009-05-16 Thread Bernat Arlandis i Mañó
Newly installed kernels don't boot after installing gparted, reason:
root device not found. I have just one SATA HDD, the SATA driver finds
the disk and partitions, but /dev just had the drive (sda) and no
partitions.

I uninstalled gparted and its dependencies:
dmraid
kpartx
dmsetup
gparted
libdmraid1.0.0.rc15
libparted1.8-10

Now, reconfiguring the kernel (making a new initrd image) it boots
again. From these packages, dmraid, kpartx and dmsetup added udev rules.
Also, dmraid adds a local-top script.

Any of these packages could be at fault, right now I can't do more
testing, sorry. I have a nforce4 chipset with a raid controller not
being used.

Hope this helps.

Bug#494561: [linux-kbuild-2.6.26] Scripts missing, module compilation fails

2008-08-10 Thread Bernat Arlandis i Mañó

Package: linux-kbuild-2.6.26
Version: 2.6.26-2
Severity: serious

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

Trying to build the nvidia module it complains about missing scripts, it
seems version 2.6.26-2 doesn't package the scripts in subdirectories.
After building these scripts from the source package and moving them to
/usr/src/linux-kbuild-2.6.26/scripts I can build the nvidia module.

Version 2.6.26-1 included these scripts. Source package for 2.6.26-2
compiles them but doesn't include them in the final package. Couldn't
tell why.

Debian.org lists the missing files as if they were inside the package,
but they're not, at least for amd64 arch.

Bug#475894: [jack-rack] Can't use MIDI controls

2008-04-13 Thread Bernat Arlandis i Mañó

Package: jack-rack
Version: 1.4.4-4
Severity: normal

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

Current Debian version doesn't seem to support MIDI control.

I've read reports from Ubuntu and 64Studio users saying they could
control jack-rack using MIDI controllers after compiling from source
since their official packages didn't supported it neither. Maybe some
missing library when building the package.

Error when loading FLAC sample files. The default drumkit has this type
of files, so the app starts with all instruments muted and they won't
sound even when unmuted. Trying to load another drumkit with flac files
from the drumkit manager will crash the app.

This bug is probably related to #445237.

Hi,

I can't reproduce this behaviour on my system. As you are using a 64 bit
machine it migth be a 64 bit only problem.
It says
/usr/share/hydrogen/data/drumkits/GMkit/kick_Dry_b.flac not found

Do you have this file on your system ?

Günter

Yes, I've tested it too.

# flac -t /usr/share/hydrogen/data/drumkits/GMkit/kick_Dry_b.flac
flac 1.2.1, Copyright (C) 2000,2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007 Josh
Coalson

flac comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY. This is free software, and you are
welcome to redistribute it under certain conditions. Type `flac' for
details.

kick_Dry_b.flac: ok

This post from Mandriva forums is about the same problem, they suggest a
straight rebuild:

http://forum.mandriva.com/viewtopic.php?p=382772sid=c8ebf56bd63ca48623a738036c66dd9e

Hope it helps. If you need more info just ask.
