Bug#700691: amarok: Amarok initial Full Collection Scan is removing tracks from albums (marked as duplicates) leaving album incomplete
Package: amarok Version: 2.7.0-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, Problem: Full Collection Scan causes many unique id duplicates when on checking the songs, they are of different albums and are required for that album. Expected Behavior: No duplicate detection on import or options to prevent remove of tracks from Amarok database Case: I have a collection of around 1 songs and I keep many albums from the same artist that may have a duplicate in an alternative album by the same artist. While I am happy to have a form of duplicate detection, I find that this method is causing a lot of extra work as I have to use amarok aftagger to make corrections. This would be manageable for one of two tracks, but I have too many to correct manually. None of them are genuine duplicates. An end user would not normally want to spend time on energy changing unique id tags that amarok has incorrectly tagged during a scan. Package: handbrake-gtk Version: 0.9.8+dfsg1-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, On trying to rip a DVD, initial scanning on DVD completed without a problem. Bug#541766: ktorrent: Max Download setting is often ignored leaving download speed unrestricted
Package: ktorrent Version: 3.1.4+dfsg.1-1 Severity: normal The setting of max download speed, either from default config, scheduler or manual adhoc changes though system tray are often ignored. Bug#436267: Working DV video over firewire
I am not sure if this has progressed any more and if any decision has been drawn up, the thread has been a little quiet. I just wanted to express that from a user perspective I would be surprised if I installed a modern Linux distribution and I could no longer use a DV connection to edit my videos. I have been using etch to do this for a while now and it works fine. In fact I was using etch as I was having problems configuring the correct modules to use for 1394 on another distribution. I am all for change and development. but I have always looked to Debian to supply a sane, working and stable system. Currently I have that with etch and hope to have that for lenny. -- Daniel Phillips
Bug#421888: suspend-to-ram on resume blank screen
Package: hibernate Version: 1.93 Steps to reproduce: 1. echo -n mem /sys/power/state or activate suspend through gnome power management (2.14.3) 2. hit power btn to resume On resuming the screen is completely black. The system responds, keyboard is alive and I can press the power button to shut the computer down. I have not found a way to recover the screen or to get more information to determine the nature of the problem. This problem is consistent and reproducable. What I have tried 1. Ctrl-Alt-F1 - no change 2. sysfs-ram.conf as follows - no change UseSysfsPowerState mem EnableVbeTool yes Runi915resolution yes 3. acpi_sleep bios and mode kernel boot options no change 4. without X - no change 5. suspend to disk - works 6.
