Bug#887555: new upstream (20171222)
Package: parallel Version: 20161222-1.1 Followup-For: Bug #887555 X-Debbugs-Cc: e.fokken+report...@posteo.de Dear Maintainer, apparently there is a newer version of parallel, but only in the experimental distribution. It seems to me that is may not be warranted (anymore?). >From its own documentation I have the feeling (on which you shouldn't depend, but I guess you are more knowledgable here), that parallel is not dangerous for the system, which I think is a reason to include packages only in experimental. Bug#987032: cqrlog: Importing ADIF-logs results in 0 byte logs
Package: cqrlog Version: 2.5.1-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, On a fresh install of CQRLOG 2.5.1-1 it is impossible to import ADIF-files because 0-bytes are imported. I made sure that the files are OK and comply with the rules. Import from Klog into xlog works but import from Klog into CQRLog does not. Show QSO-List File Import chose log-file.adi Import completes immediately with 0 bytes imported. This seems to be an upstream bug which is worked around in version 2.5.2. I cite from https://cqrlog.com/download "Recent version of CQRLOG Version 2.5.2" "workaround for 'TRegExpr exec: empty input string' error in fpc compiler" Unfortunately cqrlog is unusable for me if I cannot import my formerly logged QSOs from other logging-programs. Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Eike * Package name: xoreos-tools Version : 0.0.5 Upstream Author : Sven Hesse * URL : https://xoreos.org * License : GPL Programming Lang: C++ Description : collection of tools around BioWare's Aurora engine games A collection of tools to help with the reverse-engineering of BioWare's Aurora engine games. . xoreos-tools is part of the xoreos project (which is not yet part of Debian). I intend to sponsor uploads of the original developer Sven Hesse, who already maintains a Debian package for this. xoreos-tools is a collection of tools for data used in BioWare's classic RPGs. The main project, xoreos, is not yet ready for inclusion in Debian. The tools still may be useful for development and modding. I'm unsure about the section this should go in. While it is all free software, in the greater scheme of things the tools only make sense when used with BioWare's non-free data. So we might put it into contrib. The section itself is also not clear to me. Hi Arturo, we broke it down with less steps, hopefully not confusing. Please try this: table ip filter { chain FORWARD { type filter hook forward priority 0; policy accept; jump vpn_master } map J_TestMap { type ipv4_addr : verdict flags interval elements = { 172.21.138.0/29 : jump C_TestChain } } chain vpn_master { ip saddr vmap @J_TestMap } chain C_TestChain { } } # nft flush map filter J_TestMap # nft flush chain filter C_TestChain # nft delete chain filter C_TestChain Error: Could not process rule: Device or resource busy delete chain filter C_TestChain # nft list ruleset table ip filter { map J_TestMap { type ipv4_addr : verdict flags interval } chain FORWARD { type filter hook forward priority 0; policy accept; jump vpn_master } chain vpn_master { ip saddr vmap @J_TestMap } chain C_TestChain { } } This problem happens only if we flash the J_TestMap! If we delete the elements of J_TestMap, we can delete the chain C_TestChain! Background: We want to have many elements in our maps and we want to flash it, instead of deleting every element. Right now in iptables we have >100k ACCEPT Rules organised in a binary tree build with chains. https://people.netfilter.org/hawk/presentations/nfws2008/nfws2008_userday_iptables_scale.pdf 100k rules in nftables also organised in a binary tree makes the command "nft list ruleset" take over 1,5min to print all rule to the command line. (Maybe you can help here too?) Am Mittwoch, 11. April 2018, 10:07:28 CEST schrieb Wade Chandler: > The kdiff3 readme states "Supported Qt-versions: 4.8, 5.2 or higher", so > perhaps only the packaging needs updated? For KDiff3 QT, it would not be hard. For the KDE version, there's no upstream KDE 5 version and the upstream author doesn't have time to implement it. There are people trying to create a KDE5 version, though. I'd prefer to package that when/if it works. The alternative would be to deprecate the KDE version and just have kdiff3-qt. signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

Package: kipi-plugins Version: 4:5.1.0-2 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, after installing digikam with kipi-plugins on a non-KDE system, I cannot export files via 'Export->Export to remote storage'. On stderr, I get messages similar to: "klauncher not running" "no service file for klauncher" "kinit not found in $PATH" (I can try to reproduce the exact messages if necessary). The problem looks similar to 801308 and http://askubuntu.com/questions/617955/problem-with-kde-programs-after-upgrading-to-15-04 . Following the recommendations in the latter, I've installed * kinit * kio * kio-extras * kded5 This resolved my problems. Bug#628654: xbindkeys: New release blocks seahorse
Package: xbindkeys Version: 1.8.5-1 Followup-For: Bug #628654 Dear Maintainer, I'm in a similar situation as Michael and Rola. When xbindkeys is started from /etc/X11/Xsession.d/98xbindkeys it lacks the environment variables necessary to communicate with e.g. ssh-agent because they are set later in the Xsession-process in /etc/X11/Xsession.d/99x11-common_start . This breaks using terminal emulators started with xbindkeys. Creating $HOME/.xbindkeys.noauto and starting xbindkeys by hand solves this problem. Unfortunately, .xbindkeys.noauto is documented only in 98xbindkeys and NEWS.Debian.gz but not in the man-page. Can you please document $HOME/.xbindkeys.noauto in the man-page? And if possible install the Xsession-script such that it's sourced after 99x11-common_start. Thank you very much! Ah, misconception on program name :) kmailservice is not KMail service but K mailservice (as in KDE mailservice). Basically a helper (part of kdelibs5-plugins) that checks which e-mail program is configured by the user and then calls it. Since you are in a non-KDE workspace environment you might want to configure KMail directly. So this should be forwarded to kdelibs5-plugins? Adding the full path to the executable in the .desktop file resolved it. More background: I've updated to Wheezy and changed the DE from KDE to Gnome but wanted to keep KMail as email program. However sending files via the context menu's Send to is not working. I found that the 'Exec' entry in /usr/share/gnome/applications/kde4/kmailservice.desktop misses the full path to kmailservice: Exec=kmailservice %u changing this to Exec=/usr/lib/kde4/libexec/kmailservice %u fixes the problem. Bug#661073: Severity critical?
Hello! On second thought, this is not something to be mentioned in a readme, but something that should be solved before release. It rendered large parts of my system unusable: everthing needing X (and it was very hard to track down). Wouldn't this be severity critical? If I understood it right and the FontPath entry in the X config is obsolete for a long time now, this bug will hit our most loyal customers, those running the same Debian installation for many years. Package: xorg Version: 1:7.6+13 --- Please enter the report below this line. --- The same happened to me when I updated to unstable and I needed days to find out why. Hi Thomas, adding the `resolvconf -u' indeed fixes this problem. Thank you very much! Just to let you know my use-case: I have a /etc/resolvconf/resolv.conf.d/tail with some fall-back nameserver entries. This is probably not the correct way, but it worked, and saves me specifying these fall-backs for my different wireless network setups in /etc/network/interfaces . Bug#602899: osmo: Serious data loss in case of abnormal termination
Hi Gabor, sorry for the late reply, I am currently quite busy. Osmo does not save changes (e.g. new tasks) when killed by a signal or xkill command. The only way to exit without data loss is closing its window. That problem was addressed in osmo 0.2.4. From the changelog: * Option to save data after every modification So this problem should be solved as soon as you upgrade to a newer version (Debian squeeze should become stable quite soon now). Bug#601582: osmo: Alarm warning occurs _after_ deadline moreover forever
Hi Gabor, Setting alarm warning does not produce warns _before_ the task is due. It happens however in every minute _after_ the deadline until I mark task as done or I delete it. I cannot reproduce this bug (using 0.4.0 from squeeze), everything works as expected. The behaviour you describe occurs when no time is set for the warning, I think. If this was not the problem, then upgrading to a newer version should fix this problem. Thanks for the report, Eike pgpPcehJkpgg1.pgp Description: PGP signature

Bug#582421: Floating point format depends on locale in gvim fom vim-gnome
Package: vim-gnome Version: 2:7.2.436+hg~e12b9d992389-1 Severity: normal The format of floats depends on the current locale in gvim from vim-gnome. I omit the error messages, since they are in German. This bug does not appear when I use vim or gvim from vim-gtk. So I guess it's caused by using gnome libraries. Bug#580017: osmo uses gtkhtml2
Hi all, upstream has been very responsive and added support for webkit in r897. Will update the package the soon as possible (might be not before beginning of next week, though). Eike pgpfA4Le50yUw.pgp Description: PGP signature
Bug#580017: osmo uses gtkhtml2
Thanks a lot for reporting this. I could just remove the dependency on libgtkhtml2, but that would completely disable the address book feature (and annoy most users of osmo). So I'd prefer feedback from upstream first and if they fix this within the next two weeks or so, I'd prefer waiting... Of course, I don't want to be in the way of removing libgtkhtml2 from the archive, so just let me know if things are more urgent and I'll immediatly upload a version without the depenency on libgtkhtml. If you are interested to co-maintain osmo, I could move the package to a collab-maintenance repo at alioth, so that we can both update the packaging. And I also found the first bug: The window-headline of the osmo-window is still osmo 0.2.8 while the about-dialog says Version 0.2.10 - but this is only a cosmetic matter, the old bug is fixed in this version ;-) Thanks for the hint, could not find a fast way to change this, but forwarded this bug upstream. Bug#549757: osmo: FTBFS: icalss.h:37:27: error: icalcomponent.h: No such file or directory
Hi Fathi, this bug (see below or #549757 to refresh your memory) might actually a problem in upstream libical-dev (according to my very limited understanding of C): 1) the osmo source contains #include libical/icalss.h 2) looking at /usr/include/libical/icalss.h from libical-dev: line 37: #include icalcomponent.h which probably causes the error since upstream libical moved everything from /usr/include to /usr/include/libical according to the bottom of http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=0002697206%40uncensored.citadel.orgforum_name=freeassociation-devel 3) replacing this line with line 37: #include icalcomponent.h should fix this problem 4) there are some more occurences of including system headers instead of local headers in icalss.h Sorry if the above is totally wrong, since I don't now any C. That's why I have not yet contacted upstream libical and have not yet reassigned the bug. What do you think?
