Dear Jonathan, I was suprised to discover that backintime had been removed from testing despite RC bug #881205 being fixed upstream [1]. For testing/unstable an update of the package to version 1.1.24 should do the trick, whilst stretch/wheezy will require a backport of this particular commit.
