Dear Maintainer,
I am using debian jessie with the kde desktop.
When my laptop (HP probook 650) is connected to an external screen,
I can't shutdown properly. When I halt the computer, either using the menus,
the power button or the halt
Ok, adding the line
set_plot_option([gnuplot_default_term_command, "set term pop"])$
to my initialisation file ~/.maxima/maxima-init.mac, as suggested on the
maxima-discuss list, solved the problem.

I am running the kde desktop on jessie and installed the gnuplot and maxima
packages.
Gnuplot uses the terminal option qt by default, whereas maxima wants the wxt
