Bug#483451: fretsonfire: guitar track not heard; background track used as guitar track
The problem occurs regardless of whether one uses libsdl1.2-debian-alsa, -esd or -pulseaudio. However, the workaround of using 8-bit samples seems to only works when using SDL's ALSA backend, ie. esd/pulseaudio have some problem(s) with 8-bit samples. In related news, using the ALSA backend with pulseaudio installed makes the FoF screen scroll jerkily, so the 8-bit functionality of SDL's esd/pulseaudio backends would also be welcome for the workaround to work. Anyway, the real problem with amd64 and 16-bit samples is probably quite simple, but at least I cannot say whether it's in FoF, pygame or SDL. -Timo -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#483451: fretsonfire: guitar track not heard; background track used as guitar track
The bug occurs also with 1.2.512.dfsg-3, and only on amd64 (only tested i386 and amd64). A workaround is to change audio sample size from 16-bit to 8-bit in audio settings. Bug 1781073 [1] in project's bug tracker sounds like similar, though the solution does not solve the actual problem if the original reporter had this bug in question. Bug#483451: fretsonfire: guitar track not heard; background track used as guitar track
Package: fretsonfire-game Version: 1.2.451.dfsg-2 I'm using fretsonfire on Ubuntu intrepid. When I play the correct notes, I only hear the background track, and not the guitar track. When I play incorrect notes, I do not hear either track. This happens both with the included sectoid song pack and with other downloaded songs. All volume settings are set to 11. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
