Salut Jean-Marc :) The README.Debian and README.direct in the docdir should have helped you if all the information had been there :). There are 2 things to change: automount nis in nsswitch.conf, and DISABLE_DIRECT=0 in /etc/default/autofs. Note that README.Debian says DISABLED_DIRECTMAPS=0,
