I'm unable to start more than one X session since gdmflexiserver hangs up.

What do you mean by hangs up? Are you using a phone to talk to
gdmflexiserver?
If you mean that your keyboard stops responding, the problem is most
likely

Usually I run gdmflexiserver from current gnome

Not really. The problem appeared a little bit before my transition from xfree86
to xorg.
I even hoped that such transition would resolve the problem. But it did not.
