Hi,
thank you for reporting this. Right now, the auto-handshake can only be
disabled in the source code of the plug in. What you can do is auto-open
a query window to the nickserv daemon and do /otr finish before you
authenticate. I do that manually right now. I would however consider
uploading an

If you already have a registered nick on some $IRC_SERVER, Try the
following:
* launch irssi with no arguments, and make sure ~/.irssi/config
contains no autoconnect stanzas.
* /load otr
