Although at the moment it seems like we do not have enough resources to
cover the territory, I will try to check back on the upstream bug report
every now and then to follow up on any user-related questions that might

I agree with Khang Nguyen. I've written a lot using Vietnamese and spent a
lot of time in Vietnam. Most people there use Telex, a few VNI, and VIQR
is uncommon (may be used in some parts of the USA). VIQR is trouble and
should not be the default, but should be available.

I definitely cannot speak for all Vietnamese users. I do not know how many
people out there are still using VIQR. However, for people who do not know
or are not used to VIQR, it is definitely a troublemaker. The same can be
said for other input methods.
