I should also point out that the calendar is not accessible which is
kind of critical.
After many tests I have found the solution about the
bugs around timidity-daemon and pulseaudio.
timidity-daemon installs an system-wide daemon. But
pulseaudio is a user-wide "daemon".
With my appended patch the system-wide daemon will be

Hello,
Some things found during review in NEW:
I note that Henriksson has relicensed his docs under the GPL or the
GFDL, not just the GFDL.[1] So d/copyright should be updated to
reflect that.
INSTALL.md needs to be listed in d/copyright as currently

Could you adjust the patch to use the same mechanism to find SDL2 as in
openjk?

demonstrated in the attached image (problem.png).
I happened to noticed that the bug disappears if adding a space before
the terminating nested quote as shown in (problem_with_space.png).

Any further ideas on this?
I've just checked again with the current ffmpeg/bs1770gain versions
from sid... and still, the gapless playback of MP3s is broken when
files are processed with --overwrite.
It does seem to work when not using --overwrite mode (but -a -o
dir),... but that's no big
