I think that woul dbe indeed useful as there're people asking on irc
where to find the lists every other day, and the usual answer for them
is to read through the jidgo files, which is not a very easy way.

distribution of patches. Your idea won't fly.
Are the patches in binary form or plain-text ?
I think the problem is only with binary attachments like
applications/octet-stream that usually originate from Windows
systems, so disallowing binary-attachments should suffice ?

Non-conforming ASCII characters (ANSI bombs) and things like
that should be removed without comment.
I don't think there is a need to check for things like virusses

Hello to everyone,
I know, this discussion is a bit off topic, but in my
the source code and understand
about including and excluding packages. Maybe a central documentation file
for people who want to help modify or extend debian-cd would be great.
While bash is not the best programming language, I can't think of a more
suitable one; maybe Perl.

Hello
we used to create CD and DVD ISO images with the help of debian-cd on a
local mirror. However, when trying to update to the current version of
debian-cd, this fails because

-cd will require in-depth knowledge about

you can always use debian-cd on your local mirror if there are no
jigdos available and configure apt to get missing packages (e.g. for
non-US or contrib) from the net

, but I think this cannot be done since we have a lot of files that
are bigger than 2 GB on our harddisks (I cannot remember we ever had
64-bit file size problems with Red Hat Linux). Maybe we have to wait for
SID final ? Will this be Debian 4.0 or 3.1 ?

Hello,
i want to create the new woody-cd-set with the pseudo-image-kit from my
local mirror. But in
ftp://ftp.fsn.hu/pub/CDROM-Images/debian-unofficial/woody/ are no
list-files.

actually a pretty cool idea, for those places where a net
install makes sense. Could even be one of those credit card CD
thingies: keep it in your wallet, just in case. ;)
Yes I like the credit card CDs ;)

I did have some problem on the debian-cd-kit that could not be solved,
but I wouldn't call it "crap" just because I'm too plain stupid to fix
the problem ;-)
